Why You Should Fly by Private Jet to the Euros 2024?

Why You Should Fly by Private Jet to the Euros 2024?

As the UEFA European Championship 2024 (Euros 2024) approaches, football fans from all over the world are gearing up for one of the most exhilarating sporting events on the planet. This year, the tournament is hosted in Germany, a country renowned for its rich football culture, historical landmarks, and vibrant cities. While millions will be traveling to experience the Euros, there’s one way to elevate the experience to unprecedented heights: flying by private jet. Here’s why choosing a private jet for your journey to the Euros 2024 is the ultimate game-changer.

1). Unmatched Convenience and Flexibility

Flying by private jet offers a level of convenience that commercial flights simply can’t match. With private aviation, you have the freedom to set your own schedule. No more worrying about missing a flight or spending endless hours in crowded airports. You can arrive at the airport just minutes before your departure, breeze through security, and be on your way. Additionally, private jets have access to more airports, allowing you to land closer to the stadiums and your accommodations, saving valuable time.

3). Luxurious Comfort

A private jet provides an unparalleled level of comfort. Forget cramped seats and limited legroom; private jets offer spacious cabins, plush seating, and the ability to customize the environment to your liking. Whether you want to relax, work, or socialize with your fellow football enthusiasts, a private jet ensures a serene and comfortable journey. Some jets even feature lounges, beds, and top-notch entertainment systems, making the flight an enjoyable part of your overall Euros experience.

3). Personalized In-Flight Experience

From gourmet catering tailored to your preferences to personalized in-flight services, every aspect of your journey can be customized to suit your needs. Many private jet providers offer bespoke travel packages that include luxury ground transportation, exclusive hotel accommodations, and VIP access to events and venues, ensuring your trip to the Euros 2024 is nothing short of extraordinary.

4). Privacy and Security

In today’s world, privacy and security are more important than ever. Traveling by private jet offers a secluded environment away from the hustle and bustle of crowded terminals and planes. This is especially beneficial for high-profile individuals or those who simply value their privacy. Moreover, the stringent security protocols in place for private aviation mean that you and your belongings are well-protected throughout your journey.

5). Time-Saving Efficiency

Time is a precious commodity, especially when you’re traveling to attend a major sporting event like the Euros. Private jets significantly reduce travel time compared to commercial flights. There are no layovers, and the boarding process is swift and efficient. You can travel directly to your destination, allowing you to make the most of your time in Germany. Whether you’re planning to catch multiple matches in different cities or simply want to explore the local culture, flying by private jet maximizes your available time.

6). Direct Access to More Airports

Private jets have access to a larger number of airports compared to commercial flights. This means you can often land closer to your final destination, whether it's a stadium, hotel, or city center, further reducing travel time and hassle.

7). Group Travel Made Easy

Attending the Euros 2024 with a group of friends, family, or colleagues? Private jets offer a perfect solution for group travel. You can charter a jet that comfortably accommodates your entire party, ensuring everyone travels together and enjoys the same high standards of comfort and service. This not only enhances the overall experience but also strengthens the camaraderie as you share the excitement of the tournament together.

8). Creating Unforgettable Memories

The Euros 2024 is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and flying by private jet adds a touch of exclusivity and glamour that transforms it into an unforgettable adventure. Imagine soaring above the clouds, sipping champagne, and anticipating the thrill of watching your favorite teams compete live. The journey itself becomes a cherished memory, adding a layer of magic to your overall Euros experience.

9). Conclusion

Flying by private jet to the Euros 2024 is more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a statement of luxury, convenience, and style. It allows you to focus on what truly matters – enjoying world-class football, exploring beautiful Germany, and creating lasting memories with friends and family. As you plan your trip to the Euros, consider using Astute Aviation to help you navigate the unparalleled advantages of private aviation and elevate your football experience to new heights. After all, an extraordinary event deserves an extraordinary journey.

Most Popular Private Jet Routes

Private jets are renowned luxury, but they're also a necessity. Whether you're flying to a business meeting or a vacation destination, the right plane can make all the difference. In order to find out which destinations people are most likely to charter private jets for, we looked at flight data from our customers on trips from 2017 through mid-2022 using our internal database and industry tools like FlightAware and Routehappy. We found that these 10 routes were consistently popular with travelers:

Teterboro - Palm Beach

Palm Beach is the most popular private jet destination, and Teterboro is one of the busiest private jet airports in the world. So if you're looking to fly to Palm Beach, a trip from Teterboro could be right for you.

This route offers many advantages over other routes: it's shorter than most other routes; it has a lower chance of delays or cancellations; and it offers great amenities for passengers.

For example, most planes have seats that recline completely flat so passengers can lie down during their flight (this isn't possible on most commercial aircraft). Some planes have video screens so passengers can watch movies or shows (some don't have screens at all). And some planes offer gourmet food options like sushi rolls, steak tartare, or chocolate-covered strawberries (these are also available on some flights).

Van Nuys - Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a major tourist destination, and Van Nuys is the closest airport to Las Vegas. For this reason, there are many flights from Van Nuys to Las Vegas. A typical flight time will be about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Vero Beach - Fort Lauderdale

If you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, Vero Beach and Fort Lauderdale are the perfect places to visit. In just an hour-and-a-half, you can be enjoying the beaches of Florida's east coast. These two cities make up Florida's Treasure Coast and offer plenty of romantic options to indulge in with that special someone or by yourself. If you'd rather spend your time exploring history and culture, however, there are plenty of museums and art galleries along the way that are worth visiting too!

The flight between these two locations is short enough that it won't take up too much time during your stay—which means more time at the beach! You'll arrive at Vero Beach Municipal Airport (VRB) where you can rent a car or find transportation around town before heading over to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). While there aren't many direct flights from FLL back to VRB due to its distance from major metropolitan areas like Orlando or Tampa Bay; many carriers will still fly into Ft. Lauderdale International Airport if given enough notice about when this trip ends so make sure not leave anything important behind!

Miami - New York

If you're looking to fly between New York and Miami, the Learjet 45 is the jet for you. With eight seats and a flight time of one hour and 28 minutes, this aircraft is perfect for business travelers who want to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible (and in style). At $4,999 per trip, it's also reasonable enough that most CEOs can afford it.

Los Angeles International Airport - Palm Springs

The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located about 20 miles from Palm Springs.

Due to the distance between these two points, only small and mid-sized aircraft can be used on this route.

The amenities available at the Palm Springs International Airport include a restaurant, which makes it an excellent location for resting passengers before they continue their journey.

It takes around 35 minutes to fly from LAX to PSP.

White Plains - Fort Lauderdale

  • Distance: 1,140 miles

  • Travel time: 2 hours, 50 minutes

  • Number of stops: None. Direct flight available.

  • Passenger capacity: 6 passengers in a super mid-size jet

  • Aircraft types available: Embraer Phenom 300, Cessna Citation CJ1 and Hawker 4000

San Diego - Hawthorne

San Diego - Hawthorne

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the primary airport serving San Diego County, California. It is located in San Diego, California and covers an area of 1,200 acres (486 ha). The airport is owned and operated by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. It is a hub for Volaris Airlines and seasonal flights to Hawaii are available through Hawaiian Airlines as well as private jet charter services. In 2017 alone, this route accounted for over $2 billion in economic impact on the community.[2]

Hawthorne Municipal Airport (HHR) is a public airport located three miles (5 km) south of Hawthorne's central business district.[3] HHR was founded in 1927 as Clover Field after aviator Eugene Biscailuz,[4][5] who helped establish the first municipal airport in Southern California.[6] Commercial flights began at Clover Field in 1931[7][8][9] but ceased during World War II[10], resuming again from 1948 until being replaced by Bob Hope Airport on May 1st 1960 when it opened its doors for full operation with commercial airline service along with general aviation facilities.[11][12][13].

Van Nuys - Mammoth Lakes

Van Nuys - Mammoth Lakes

Mammoth Lakes is a town in Mono County, California, situated at 8,900 feet (2,700 m) above sea level and located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The town's population was 682 at the 2010 census.

Teterboro - Dallas Love Field

Teterboro Airport is a small airport in New Jersey, while Dallas Love Field is a large airport in Dallas. Teterboro is one of the most popular private jet hubs in the United States, with more than 200 jets on its tarmac at any given time. Dallas Love Field has become one of the fastest growing airports for private jets. Teterboro currently has about 350 jets and this number is set to increase by 25% over the next two years.

Dulles Int'l Airport - Washington DC Area

Los Angeles Int'l Airport - Los Angeles Area

Why do Companies use private jets?

Private jet charter provides the highest levels of convenience, productivity and comfort to executive teams. There are many reasons to use private jets. The main general reasons that we hear most often are listed below.

Convenience.

Convenience. As the name suggests, it’s a private flight which means that you get to travel without any hassles of commercial flights. With your own plane, you can go anywhere whenever you want and land on any runway around the world without having to worry about flights being delayed or cancelled at the last minute. You will be able to make your own schedule and adjust the route of travel based on your preferences.

Speed.

Speed is another advantage of flying in a private jet. A commercial flight takes many hours to reach its destination while a private jet can fly faster since there are no other passengers along with you onboard and hence there are fewer delays due to technical issues or bad weather conditions as well as fewer security checks before takeoff.*Comfort is yet another reason why people prefer flying by their own aircraft than taking an airline flight because they get more space, privacy, comfort and luxury while flying privately.* Private jets provide peace of mind knowing that their safety is assured when travelling by air with family members or colleagues since these planes have all necessary emergency equipment onboard so that everyone can stay safe during emergencies like fire outbreaks etc.

Discretion.

How many times have you seen a celebrity or public figure in the news for using a private jet? It's more than likely that it was at least once, if not multiple times. The media loves to report on the lavish lifestyles of celebrities.

However, companies also want to avoid this scrutiny when they travel. Because of this, they often opt for flying privately rather than commercially. This way, they can keep their travel plans secret and avoid being seen as wasteful or extravagant by others. Private jets are also beneficial because they allow executives to be discreet with their meetings while travelling; they can meet in an office on board instead of having people come into town and finding ways to get together off-site.

Productivity.

There are a number of reasons why companies decide to use private jets. One of the biggest is productivity.

When you fly on a commercial flight, you have to wait in line for security and check-in, which can take up to an hour or more depending on how busy the airport is that day. During this time, you're not doing anything productive. You're just standing around wasting time waiting for people who don't care about your schedule or being efficient with your time (and they probably aren't).

On the other hand, when you fly on a private jet, there's no waiting in line because there's no need for it—there's no security check and no long lines at check-in either! Instead of having to navigate through crowds of people looking for their gate number or fighting off their kids as they cry over missing their favourite toy from home; you'll have plenty of time before takeoff so that when it comes time for takeoff these important steps can be taken:

• Arrange for any last-minute meetings/conferences if needed beforehand (so nothing will get missed)

• Review all notes from previous meetings/conference calls so everything feels fresh in mind once again.

Business Impact.

Private jets are a great option for business travel. They can help your company save time and money.

Private jet charters can be more cost-effective than commercial flights as they allow you to fly on smaller, more efficient aircraft. Private jets also allow you to arrive at meetings on time because they have fewer delays than commercial flights and they don't have to wait in line at an airport gate like a commercial flight would have to do before takeoff.

Stress Reduction.

The first and most obvious benefit of private jets is the fact that you can avoid the stress of commercial air travel. In many cases, you’ll be able to avoid security lines, baggage fees and delays completely. You also won’t have to wait for your flight or go through security again when you arrive at your destination.

Whether it's a business trip or a vacation, having a private jet means no lost time waiting for planes or dealing with baggage claim issues when you land.

Time Management.

The main reason why people use private jets is to save time. By flying in a private jet you can avoid traffic, delays and the hassle of going through security at an airport. This means that by using a private jet you will get to your destination faster than if you were taking public transportation or even driving yourself there.

With all of the time saved on getting from point A to point B, one might think that this would be enough reason for someone to use this type of jet but there are other reasons as well.

Private jet charter provides the highest levels of convenience, productivity and comfort to executive teams.

A private jet charter is the ultimate in convenience for your business travel needs. You can schedule your flights to coincide with other activities, such as meetings or conferences, rather than having to book flights around them. This allows you greater flexibility in how and when you get from point A to point B, which is important for reducing stress and managing time better. With a private jet charter flight, there is no need to wait at the airport for an extended period of time before departure; instead, you will arrive at approximately the same time as if you were on an airline flight. In addition, there are no delays caused by weather or mechanical problems since these types of issues don't affect private aircraft.

Roundup

We hope that this article has given you a better understanding of why companies use private jets. While we can’t speak for every company in the world, it is clear that many executives are turning to private jet charter services to better manage their time, reduce stress and increase productivity. Travel Update | What you need to know

Some good news…

With hospital admissions falling across the nation and 48.5 million Britons getting fully vaccinated, many experts are now saying that we may finally be nearing the end of the pandemic. The end is finally in sight.

And there is more good news.

The UK government is set to remove all travel testing requirements for fully vaccinated people next Friday, making it even easier for people to travel abroad.

For those of you who have not been able to travel abroad over the past two years, this is probably music to your ears. After two years of being cooped up inside, you are probably desperate to get away and enjoy some much-needed sunshine.

Here is a rundown of the new rules set to be implemented by the UK Government:

  • From 4 am on 11th February, all testing requirements will be removed from eligible fully vaccinated arrivals with only a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) now required.

  • Arrivals who are not recognised as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or the day before day 2 after they arrive in the UK.

  • Children aged 12 to 15 in England will now be able to prove their vaccination status or proof of prior infection via a digital NHS COVID Pass from the 3rd of February for outbound travel, allowing families to travel abroad for the February half term.

Before you start packing your flip flops and bikinis, there are a couple of other things you should know.

Check foreign travel advice.

It is essential that before booking any flights or accommodation, you check foreign travel advice for the country you want to visit.

You can find all the necessary information on the UK Foreign Office website for entry requirements. This will tell you:

  • the country will allow people to enter from the UK

  • you will need to show proof of vaccination status or proof of a negative COVID-19 test

  • you will need to quarantine on arrival

It is important to note that these requirements can change very quickly.

Arrange any covid-19 tests.

Whilst you won’t need a covid test to enter the UK from February the 11th, this may not be the case elsewhere.

You will need to check ahead to check if the country you plan on visiting requires you to take a test or not.

You cannot use an NHS test for this and must use a private test provider. It is essential that you do this before you depart, otherwise, you will not be allowed to enter the country.

Find out how you can use the NHS Covid Pass

Some countries require proof of vaccination status before you can enter so we suggest you find out how to use the NHS Covid Pass to prove your vaccination status abroad.

Face masks.

In England, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face-covering – although it is still recommended to wear a face mask in crowded places and enclosed spaces, so we suggest you wear them at the airport and when on the plane.

In Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland face masks must continue to be worn on transport, in shops and hospitality venues, unless you are sitting down to eat or drink.
When wearing a face covering:

  • It is important to wash or sanitise your hands before and after touching your face covering.

  • Use a waste bin to dispose of it – you should not put face coverings in a recycling bin or drop them as litter.

  • Be mindful that a face covering may inhibit communication with people who rely on lip reading, facial expressions and clear sound.

Are you ready to travel?

Once you have done your research and are up to date with everything you need to do, you can book your flights and pack your bags.

Just don’t forget your sunscreen.

Astute Destinations Santorini

Santorini is an island in the Cyclades group. On a Greece holiday, it is an island that you may imagine as the classic Greek island, with its white-washed homes, churches, and blue sky. This stunning island was built by a massive volcanic eruption that created a vast lagoon in the island's centre. As a result, it is bordered on three sides by sheer cliffs. It still boasts an active volcano, the world's only one with a crater in the sea. The most recent major eruption happened 3,600 years ago.

Santorini is known as a romantic island due to its crystal-clear seas located on the lip of a volcano in the midst of the sea, as well as its spectacular sunsets.

With the desire to escape reality stronger than ever, Santorini, one of the most popular Cycladic islands for both visitors and residents alike, seems to be the light at the end of the tunnel. And how could it not be, given its volcanic geomorphology, the deep blue seas of its beaches, and the hospitable residents who believe they must ensure you have a good time on their island?

Santorini is a group of three islands:

  • Thera

  • Thirassia

  • Aspronissi

These used to be one, but the land separated after a massive volcanic eruption, forming the well-known and beloved Caldera. As magical as it is, Santorini has long been associated with the legend of the "lost" city of Atlantis, becoming a test subject for scientists all over the world.

Things to see and do

Fira, Santorini’s capital, is one of the best places to see on the island. During your trip to Santorini, you certainly want to see the renowned white and blue houses that are scattered across the island, wander the narrow alleys that are full of local vendors and boutiques, luxury hotels with infinity pools, and admire magnificent views of the caldera.

What to eat

In terms of food, Santorini is famous for its delicious food. And it never disappoints.

Try the smaller restaurants in the side streets for a more authentic experience, a place full of locals is a sure sign the food is up to Greece standards! Moussaka is the local speciality, and absolutely should not be missed out on. Spanakopita (Spinach pie) is another dish that you should definitely try! But every dish in Santorini is worth the try and you certainly won’t regret it.

Where to stay?

There are plenty of hotels scattered throughout the island, all within walking distance of the best sights. We suggest Cavo Tagoo Santorini a 5* hotel with an incredible view. With just 13 rooms & suites, each room are stylish, unique and beautifully designed. The luxury room’s offer a beautiful view of the sea, so you will never miss a Santorini sunset whilst you unwind after a full day of exploring Santorini.

REACH SANTORINI BY PRIVATE JET FLIGHTS

Take a private jet to Santorini. Since the travel restrictions have been eased, we have witnessed a significant increase in charter inquiries for flights to Greece, including Santorini.

Santorini is a favourite private jet destination with its gorgeous landscape and magnificent beaches. Thera, Thirasia, Aspronisi, Palea, and Nea Kameni (Volcanoes) are the islands that make up the Santorini group.

It is situated in the Aegean Sea's Cyclades group of islands, approximately 117 kilometres (63 nautical miles) north of Crete and about 200 kilometres (108 nautical miles) southeast of Greece's mainland.

Please keep in mind that all passengers travelling to/via Greece must complete and electronically submit the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before departure.

Airports and Charter Routes in Santorini, Greece

Santorini is often referred to as one of Greece's most beautiful islands, and it's easy to understand why, with its breathtaking beaches and quaint towns situated on the brink of spectacular seashore cliffs. The island provides everything you need for an ideal Greek island getaway: unique landscape, wonderful cuisine, intriguing history, and many luxury facilities. Every time we rent a private aircraft to Santorini, the passengers have a fantastic time.

There are several reasons to visit Santorini, ranging from the architecture to the art to the friendly residents. With an Astute Aviation Santorini private jet charter, you can ensure that you arrive on the island in style, regardless of your departure location.

Airports for Private Charter Jets in and Around Santorini, Greece

Where to Ski This Season

Waking up in the slopes every morning, landing new tricks in the park and skiing fresh powder with pals, then reliving it all in the bars each evening: carrying out a ski or snowboard season is exceptional, but where exactly should you spend your time?

Best Places Where You Can Go Skiing This Season

Although Europe and North America have the most well-known ski resorts, the 1998 Winter Olympics placed Japan on the ski map, and skiers' desire for year-round snow has propelled the Andes to the forefront. When picking the most fabulous ski place for your holiday, there are several factors to consider. Still, for this list, the ski experience itself - the diversity and complexity of the terrain, snow conditions, and lift access – predominates in selecting these top selections for any skier's bucket list.

The United States

Travel to Europe this Christmas has been thrown into question as nations like Austria and the Netherlands have implemented additional lockdowns, and instances of the new Omicron type have been discovered in several countries. But how may this affect your holiday? Here's what you should know.

Omicron: Will my European holiday go ahead?

Before you go, you should be informed that certain nations have implemented new internal restrictions. Austria has entered a new state of emergency, with residents instructed to leave their homes only for necessary activities. The Netherlands has also imposed three weeks of limitations on stores, sports, and catering and recommended individuals to work from home. Germany is also set to suffer similar limitations. German Health Minister Jens Spahn declared bluntly: 'Probably by the end of winter, more or less everyone in Germany will be vaccinated, healed, or dead.'

Countries are strengthening their restrictions on incoming travel due to the appearance of the Omicron variant – B.1.1.529. After instances of the new type were detected, Switzerland put the UK on its red list, requiring people entering from the UK to submit a negative Covid-19 test and be quarantined for ten days. Travellers visiting Portugal must also provide confirmation of a negative test, and Spain has tightened its requirements to guarantee that anybody entering the country is completely vaccinated.

For the time being, however, no European nations have been added to the UK's red list, so people wanting to travel for Christmas should be allowed to do so as long as they have had the required immunizations or tests. Most European countries need confirmation of vaccinations for travel, and any further restrictions are likely to hit the unvaccinated first.

Which Countries in Europe Are Going to Lockdown?

Beginning Monday, Austria will be the first Western European country to reimpose a statewide lockdown. Germany is cracking down on unvaccinated persons and is no longer ruling out stricter measures. While existing regulations range from mask requirements in Spain to a partial shutdown in the Netherlands, the trend is toward stricter controls as Europe deals with a severe recurrence of the coronavirus pandemic.

What European Countries Are Introducing Restrictions & Rules?

France was among the first to halt all flights from the seven African nations. At the same time, it was declared that anybody who had previously lived in one of the seven areas would be subject to stringent entrance requirements.

Denmark imposes an entry ban on those travelling to and from the Southern African region.

Following the Commission's advice, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended everyone on November 26 avoid travelling to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Slovenia & Hungary has introduced quarantine requirements for those travelling from omicron-affected areas.

Why is this so tricky?

Because the risk of COVID varies so much across nations, rules will necessarily be complicated.
While Covid-19 provisions remain in place, the government has issued a charter that "clearly spells forth consumer rights and obligations when purchasing travel."

Given the circumstances, it expects travel operators to be "flexible" with consumers, and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has advised package holiday providers that refund laws must be followed.

Do you need a PCR test to fly by Private Jet?

Many countries currently require proof of a negative Covid-19 Test to be able to travel there, each with their own requirements on the type of test and how soon prior to departure this should have been carried out.

Even if flying by private jet instead of an airline, this test is likely to still be a requirement to be able to travel. However, there are a number of benefits of travelling by private jet when it comes to Covid-19 testing and international travel.

Fully managed service

It gets extremely confusing when your test must be taken no more than a set number of hours prior to departure (usually 72), but you must also work around it being not too close to departure that you risk not having the results in time. This must then be combined with finding an accredited lab that offer the correct type of test required by your destination and their appointment availability.

Remove the hassle, when travelling with us we will organise all necessary tests in the correct time frame on your behalf, and this is completely included in the cost of the charter.

Less risk of exposure during travel

There is of course a risk that you can be exposed to the virus after carrying out your test, and there have been instances where travellers have had to isolate at their destination because another passenger on their flight tested positive a few days later. Flying by private jet mitigates this risk entirely, as you are not exposed to any other groups of passengers either in the terminal or for the duration of your flight.

We have accredited partners in both Manchester and London to organise Covid-19 tests with next day results, and will also organise you to have any required testing whilst abroad. However and wherever you’re looking to fly, private jet flights offer additional Covid-19 safety measures on top of airlines, and there is significantly less hassle and uncertainty when it comes to PCR or lateral flow tests for your destination.

How Astute is keeping you safe this summer

With the United Kingdom’s plan for easing coronavirus restrictions aiming to have all measures completely relaxed by June 2021 and international restrictions on travel starting to ease, summer trips are looking promising! Alongside this, essential trips abroad for work are still permitted.

Many people who are required to travel at the moment are having to be extra cautious around keeping themselves safe, and private jet travel provides an additional layer of protection due to not mixing with the same number of people as an airline flight. Take a look at Why Travel by Private Jet this Summer to read more about the benefits of private jet travel during Summer 2021!

We’re playing our part in keeping our passengers (and crew) safe on every single flight.

  1. Fit to Fly Testing included in your Charter Price

If required by the country you’re travelling to, we will include a Covid-19 PCR test in the price of your flight, and an approved Fit to Fly Certificate with your negative result for every passenger.  Testing can be carried out in person or by post and will be organised within the required time frame before departure as required by your destination, so you don’t need to think about any of this.

2. Regular crew testing

We require all crew to complete a lateral flow coronavirus test regularly and prior to every departure. On top of this, crew will have their temperature checked immediately prior to departure and it will be ensured they are not exhibiting any Covid-19 symptoms before your flight.

3. Aircraft cleaning

All private jets will be deep before and after each flight, with approved products that are effective against coronavirus as well as other common bacteria, viruses and fungi. After being deep cleaned, aircraft are sealed before the next set of passengers board.

We also provide hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes for your own use during the flight, and crew are provided with their own to use regularly.

Private Jet Travel Cleaning | Covid-19 Coronavirsu Travel Safety | Astute Aviation Jet Sharper.jpg

4. Social distancing and PPE

You will be exposed to as few human interactions as are legally and practically possible before entering the aircraft. Your crew will not attempt to shake your hands and will be wearing masks during the boarding phase. For your safety we recommend you handle your own luggage if that's possible. Where assistance is required the ground handlers will wear gloves.

You will have the option of not having a flight attendant if it is not required for safety, and they will wear a face covering and gloves when providing service (and for the duration of the flight if they do not have their own cabin).

Any catering will be prepared following Covid-19 protocols, and you will also have the option of self-service during the flight.

Almost any additional requirements can be accommodated, with significantly more flexibility than airline travel. If you’re wanting extra precautions, these can be arranged in advance with the operator. We’re here to keep you safe this summer no matter where you choose to travel to, and are happy to answer any questions along the way. To get in touch about a trip you have planned, contact us below or email fly@astuteaviation.co.uk.

Why Travel by Private Jet this Summer?

Travel restrictions in the UK and worldwide are beginning to ease, and many people are looking to catch up on missed holidays from the past 12 months, as well as those who need to travel for work! Airlines are taking every precaution to keep their passengers safe, but travelling privately offers an unrivalled protection, as well as a number of additional benefits to commercial travel at the moment.

Safety

Have a read of our post about the additional measures we’re taking to ensure the safety of all of our passengers for their trips.

There has been an increase in passengers travelling in first and business class for long haul flights, due to improved separation from other passengers in the cabin for the duration of the flight. Flying privately means that only the people in your party are in the cabin, so completely removes the risk of being surrounded by other groups of people who could test positive in the days following the flight.

Flying privately also allows you to access your aircraft via the private aviation FBO, avoiding the crowds in the main terminal. This means less contact with passengers, fewer touchpoints with all security checks (with luggage and passport checks), and significantly less time spent in the terminal as you only need to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to departure.

Private Jet Travel | AStute aviation | Summer 2021 .jpg

More routes available by Private Jet

With international travel almost entirely halted for a significant portion of the last year, airlines are operating at a reduced capacity and have had to focus on keeping business routes open rather than holiday destinations. Even as restrictions start to lift, it’s likely that not all routes will be open for some time. For example, there are currently no direct flights between Manchester and New York, when there previously were. Using a private jet not only allows you to utilise smaller, private airfields that reduce your journey time at either end, but also means you aren’t restricted to the airlines and which routes they prioritise re-opening.

Popular Destinations for Summer 2021

Here are some of the European destinations we expect to see trending high this summer, and the private jet airports that serve them:

  • The Cote d’Azur (Nice, Cannes or Toulon Airports)

  • Ibiza (Ibiza Airport)

  • Malaga and the south of Spain (Malaga-Costa Del Sol Airport)

  • The Greek Islands (including Mykonos, Santorini & Athens Airports)

  • Malta (Malta Airport)

  • Sardinia (Olbia, Alghero or Cagliari Airports)

  • Corsica (Figari, Ajaccio, Calvi or Bastia Airports)

  • The Amalfi Coast (Naples Airport)

Further afield popular destinations for this summer include:

  • The Maldives (Velana International Airport)

  • Barbados (Barbados Bridgetown Grantley Adams International Airport )

  • The Seychelles (Mahe Island Seychelles International)

If you’re thinking about planning a getaway this summer, give us a call or send us an email to fly@astuteaviation.co.uk . Wherever you’re heading, we can find the closest airport to your destination and the best possible aircraft for your needs.

GULFSTREAM DELIVERS FIRST NEW-GENERATION G500 ON TIME

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced it has delivered the first all-new Gulfstream G500, officially marking the arrival of a new generation of Gulfstream innovation and design.

The North American customer took delivery of the record-breaking aircraft at Gulfstream’s Savannah headquarters, just shy of four years after the aircraft was announced in October 2014.

“We’re proud of the work we and our suppliers have done to deliver a technologically advanced, all-new, clean-sheet aircraft that exceeds our customers’ expectations and continues the longstanding Gulfstream tradition of excellence,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

The G500 received both Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type and production certificates on July 20, 2018. The aircraft enters service with proof of both its performance capabilities and cabin comfort, from the award-winning Symmetry Flight DeckTM to Gulfstream’s newest seat designs, thanks to the more than 5,000 hours flown by the G500 for company and FAA development, demonstration and certification testing.

The G500 also established more than 20 new city-pair speed records during a high-speed world tour earlier this year. The tour, which covered 44 cities and 18 countries on six continents, demonstrated the G500’s reliability and maturity and showcased the cabin and flight deck to customers.

We are pleased that we will soon be able to offer our private jet charter customers the opportunity to fly on this aircraft.

What Food can be Served on a Private Jet?

It's not unusual on a private jet flight for the pilot or crew to cater to your exact needs when it comes to food. we frequently receive a wide range of questions when it comes to catering for private jet charter - today we'll answer the most common!

Private Jet Charter | Luxury Travel | Private Jet Catering | Private Jet Hire | Business Jets | Jet Sharper

VIP Catering is provided as standard

The nature of your food will be tailored to the time of day and length of your flight. This could include a selection of cold meats, a tray of sandwiches or a fruit platter for a shorter flight on a small jet. Longer flights tend to take place on a larger aircraft, which will usually have the capability to serve hot food - and you're able to request this in advance.

Corporate airliners, long range jets and some medium jets will have a flight attendant on board to serve your food and drinks throughout the flight. Smaller executive private jets will usually have catering laid out for passengers to help themselves to, but if you would prefer to have a flight attendant with you in the air, we are able to arrange this for you on any aircraft.

Special requests

Anything is possible! Many clients like to have food of their choice on board, and we will make every effort to arrange this - subject to availability and suitability for the aircraft. Some passengers may request lavish menus, but it might be surprising to hear that many of our requests are for incredibly simple dishes.

There are catering providers at each Fixed Base Operator (FBO) that will prepare your requested food and ensure it is on the aircraft for your flight. Each passenger is able to order their own food, even if it is completely different from the next. Private jet travel is tailored to you and your needs, and it is not unreasonable to request something completely different for each member of your party. This is often the case if parties are travelling with children, who may prefer to eat something as simple as turkey dinosaurs whilst the adults can indulge with their meal choice!

Some of our most common food requests for private jet catering include sushi, pizza, cured meat platters, sandwiches and pastries. You can see there is no upper or lower limit to the complexity of your tailored menu. That being said, if you fancy food from a particular retailer - such as Nando's - we are usually able to arrange this for you and have it delivered fresh to the aircraft in time for takeoff. Sometimes, you choose private jet hire for a special occasion. Items such as flowers or birthday cake on board can absolutely be organised - just let us know. Extra catering will usually involve an extra cost, but this will be included in your overall charter quote (read more about how much private jet charter really costs here).

Drinks on Board

There will always be tea, coffee and soft drinks available on any flight, regardless of duration or the time of day. Alcohol is also served on most flights, although this is not possible in certain circumstances within the Middle East. Drinks such as champagne are available as standard on many aircraft, but can be arranged for any flight if this is requested beforehand.

Whatever your reason for flying , we would love to help you organise your trip

Why do Yacht Charter Customers Fly by Private Jet?

Why do Yacht Charter Customers Fly by Private Jet?

People that charter yachts will more often than not hire a private jet to fly to their awaiting floating paradise, but why?

The beauty of yachts (and the reason you'll want to charter one) is that they move. On your demand, wherever you'd like to go. This can also prove a logistical nightmare when looking to fly to and from your yacht - which is where private jets come in. If you fly commercially, you may need to book two one way flights (if your yacht charter will end in a different place to where you started), and the yacht will need to dock in a bigger, more expensive port to meet you. In many cases, you can liase with your yacht charter company to arrange an appropriate meeting point for the lowest possible repositioning and docking costs. Chartering a private jet to a smaller, little known airport closer to your yacht can actually offer a lower price than an expensive reposition for the yacht.

Astute Aviation | Private Jet Charter | Yacht Hire | Luxury Travel | Jet Sharper

It's well known how much time you save when travelling by private jet. Can you imagine sitting in a commercial airport for three hours, with the anticipation of a luxury yacht waiting for you at the other side? Hire a private jet to get you as close to the yacht as possible - then we can book road or helicopter transfers to your yacht if you require it. Most yacht charters charge weekly, so make the most of all the time available to you on board.

Private jet charter also offers the unparalleled experience of luxury travel, which can't be matched by a commercial flight on any level. Flying privately is in some circumstances only a fraction of the cost of chartering a large yacht for a week, so why not complete the experience?

Whatever your reason for flying, we would love to help you organise your trip. We are available for consultation 24 hours a day, so get in touch with one of our private jet charter experts on +44(0) 203 880 9005 and let us tailor a schedule to suit you. After all, luxury is freedom, so why stay grounded?

Can your business afford not to charter private jets?

Private Jets are for the rich and famous.... or so many people think. In actual fact, private jets make a PHENOMENAL business tool.

There's a very common misconception that private jets are mainly used by celebrities, but this isn't actually true. A large percentage of private jet flights are actually for business purposes.

In business, time is money. To put it very simply, travelling by private jet puts time on your side, as it enables you to achieve more in less time than your competitors. Private jet travel gives you the ability to visit multiple countries in one day, whether you're flying to finalise a deal or attending a board meeting - you can always be home to sleep in your own bed at the end of the day.

Private Jet Charter For Business | Corporate Jet Hire | Business Jet | Hire a Private Jet.

Say goodbye to 4am starts and 3 hours hanging around in an airport. We thought a side by side comparison of a business jet charter versus a commercial trip would give a better insight, so you can see a breakdown and just how much you could potentially win back.

Scenario: Eight executives from your London office need to attend an important board meeting in central Manhattan at 10am on a Wednesday.

Private jet

Challenger 350 | 8 Passengers | £57,000

+ 1 night in a Manhattan hotel for 8 people. Tuesday Dinner and Wednesday Lunch and Dinner included in private jet charter price

COMMERCIAL FLIGHT

8 Business Class Tickets | £45,500 or 8 First Class Tickets | £74,800

+ 2 nights in a Manhattan hotel and all meals on Wednesday for 8 people

TUESDAY:

Leave the office at 5pm, for a 6pm departure from London Luton. Land in Teterboro Airport at 8pm New York time.

WEDNESDAY:

Board meeting at 10am. Leave Manhattan around 11am for an 11.45 departure from Teterboro Airport. WiFi enabled private jet so work can continue as normal for the rest of the working day.

Land in London Luton at midnight UK time.

THURSDAY:

Back to work as normal.

TUESDAY:

Leave the office at 12.30pm for a 4.15pm departure from London Heathrow. Land in JFK Airport at 7.15pm New York time.

WEDNESDAY:

Board meeting at 10am for an hour, then spend the rest of the day in Manhattan to continue working. Evening in Manhattan including dinner for 8 to be expensed.

Stay a second night in Manhattan.

THURSDAY:

Arrive 5.30am at JFK airport for a 7.55am departure, landing in London Heathrow at 7.45pm UK time.

The difference is clear here - flying commercially can lose you eight of your top executives for an entire working day whilst they fly, which could cost the business an unprecedented amount. Not to mention the fatigue experienced by an extra three hours of airport time added to each journey! For long flights crossing multiple time zones, jet lag can also prove an issue. Learn about beating jet lag with private jet charter to maximise productivity during business trips.

Private jet charter provides a higher standard of service than airline first class, and allows your executives to continue working online for the duration of their flight - all for £18,000 less than sending them on a commercial flight. Treat your private jet cabin as a flying office, where no other passengers can listen in to confidential conversations, and you can remain up to date with emails or join a teleconference as you fly.

You can read about choosing business jets or business class for short flights here

With the significant time saved with increased productivity, with the added possibility to save large quantities of money, can your business really afford not to charter a private jet? Get in touch with one of our charter experts today on +44 (0) 203 880 9005 and see how we can tailor a schedule to suit you.

Why use a private jet broker instead of an operator?

Private jet charter is absolutely not limited to celebrities - anyone can hire a private jet for a tailored luxury travel experience. but what actually is the difference between a private jet broker and an operator? and which is better to book your private jet travel through?

Astute Aviation | Private Jet Charter Hire | Business | Luxury Travel

Operators own and look after their own fleet of private jets, and manage the aircraft flight schedules. There are hundreds of private jet operators worldwide, and each works independently. If you enquire with an operator directly for a private jet charter, you are only able to receive quotations for the aircraft in their own fleet - and it can be difficult to keep track of everything when enquiring with multiple operators simultaneously.

Private jet brokers deliver a personalised quote containing the most suitable aircraft from a number of operators on your behalf. We have a strong aviation background and will always determine the best aircraft for your particular requirements, and then source the operators who own these. Since we have access to over 30,000 aircraft worldwide, availability for us is nowhere near as limited as it is for an operator with a fleet of 30 private jets - so we can guarantee we are able to find you the best aircraft at the best possible price. We have long-standing working relationships with many operators, so are often able to achieve more favourable pricing than if you were to go to them directly.

POSITIONING

Every private jet has a home base, which is the airport at which it stays when not in use. If you charter a private jet out of an airport that isn't its base, you also incur charges for repositioning the jet before and after your trip - for example, flying from London to Hamburg in a private jet that is usually based in Geneva would add a large extra cost. When booking through an operator, you are limited by where they keep the aircraft that you want to use. As a broker, we are often able to find the same model of private jet that is based much closer to (if not, at) your departure airport, keeping unnecessary costs to a minimum.

RELATIONSHIPS

Our founders have been a part of the aviation industry for several years, and, as previously mentioned, have built up good relationships with multiple operators. As well as access to better rates for private jet charter, you can rest assured we will only book you to fly with a safe and reputable operator who will offer you nothing short of a luxurious service - saving you the time of having to do the research yourself!

A TAILORED EXPERIENCE

We will work to create fully personalised, bespoke travel arrangements on your behalf. Where an operator books your private jets dependent on their own fleet and availability via the sales team, we are able to organise travel outside of the flights. Need a helicopter to get you from the airport to your destination? Or road transport to and from the airports? We are usually able to book all of this on your behalf and include it all in your charter quote - no unnecessary hassle for you.

We also work to perfect every single detail of your flight. Although an operator is able to do this with your guidance, having your broker take care of everything saves you valuable time. This can include anything from your catering (we can organise your in-flight menus, or if you fancy a Nando's during your flight, we will sort everything!) to placing your favourite champagne on board your private jet for you to enjoy during the flight.

Private jet travel is about luxury, so use a charter broker to do all of the work for you - then all you have to do on the day is turn up! Whatever your reason for flying, we would love to help you organise your trip. We are available for consultation 24 hours a day, so get in touch with one of our private jet charter experts and let us tailor a schedule to suit you on: +44(0) 203 880 9005.

We're excited to announce the opening of our second uk office.

With Manchester being one of the fastest growing UK cities and one of our most popular UK private jet departure airports, it made sense for us to have a presence here.

With lots of our clients having satellite offices, and a number of our HNW clients being based around Manchester, we decided we'd  be able to best serve them with a constant, local service.

We have acquired space in the ultra modern, brand new building that is No1 Spinningfields. This is an exciting move for us, opening up a whole new talent pool and increasing our UK coverage.

Manchester Airport is only a stone's throw away, meaning it's super easy to see off all of our private jet & commercial charter departures.

We're looking forward to growing this office, adding top talent and embarking on a new chapter of growth.

Chartering a private jet from Manchester Airport has never been easier with Astute Aviation. With 24/7 support, based locally we accommodate even the most complex requests.

We would love to discuss your 2018 private aviation plans, contact our Manchester Office today on +44(0) 161 504 0608.

Charter a Private Jet to the 2018 Super Bowl LII

On February 4th, the New England Patriots will go head to head with the Philadelphia Eagles for the 52nd super bowl in Minneapolis.

Every year, the Super Bowl is the most popular event for private jet charter flights. It's arguably one of the biggest sporting events in the USA, with the half time show (and events leading up to it) being just as big as the game itself.

This year, Justin Timberlake joins an esteemed list of recent halftime acts including Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and more.

Due to its popularity, slots for private jets at the surrounding airports fill up fast. There are five airports available to private jet charter clients within 15 miles of the US Bank Stadium, and helicopter flights from further airports can also be arranged.
